As Another WOWWednesday is upon us, I wanted to share some of my favorite Prom p
hotos with all of you. Yes, for some of my readers prom is months away, and for others prom is a distant memory from years ago. Unfortunately, it is a distant memory for me as well, however my beautiful (and also horribly annoying) cousin has reminded me of these memories.

My Senior year of high school I had invited my cousin to come with me and my boyfriend to our prom. She agreed as long as I came to her prom the following week. To make a very long and boring story short, I was no able to attend her prom the following week. So as any understanding and loving cousin would do...she dragged me to her junior prom the following year.

I will say that being a 19-year-old at a high school prom is a unique experience, not one I ever plan on repeating though. My cousin had made her own outfit, sewing the lights and cards into the skirt herself. And once again this year, Madison will be making her own dress for prom. While the dress is not finished yet, I wanted to share to pictures that reminded me of my wonderful prom and her skilled craftsmanship.

Senior Prom

I still have the dress stashed away in my closest somewhere. I remember being so excited to spend my prom with my cousin and my boyfriend. although Madison and I started out as mortal enemies as children, we grew to be the bestest of friends throughout our teenage years.

  Madison's Prom

If I remember correctly, she bought the dress off of Amazon then added a bunch of tools and a petticoat to give the dress some more volume. Her prom was gambling themed and so she added twinkle lights and playing cards to the sleeves and skirts to give it that casino vibe. Somehow, she convinced me to help her with this dress despite my utter lack of sewing knowledge.

Scroll through you snapchat history and find that selfie you took in the bathroom on prom night. 1. These are some beautiful photos! I never went to a prom myself, but I can imagine that going to one when you're older has to be strange. It looks like it was a lot a fun, and the dress designs are gorgeous. I look forward to seeing more of these photos, and I hope your cousin's designs continue to go as beautifully as these are!
